Regretfully, we have had to cancel the "Audience with David Thomas" meeting on 13th September. We have been informed that the speaker is unfortunately suffering ill health, & will not be able to participate in what would have been a popular evening.

“The Journey of the Failing Tooth” With Prof Paul Dummer, Dr Adrian Binney, Mr Andrew Cronin and Dr Rob Adams

Posted on 13-Jul-2011

Friday 30th September , Copthorne Hotel, Culverhouse Cross, Cardiff, CF5 6DH

Commencing 8.30am  Registration,  9.00am  Start

The patient is now much more informed as to the options available to them. They are now far more keen to save a failing tooth, & to replace a lost tooth with a fixed, aesthetically pleasing alternative. We have to be more aware of the implications of retaining a failing tooth, & be able to identify when a tooth should be removed, & how to remove it whilst making replacement easier or more aesthetic.

We have put together this impressive group of speakers to help:

  • Know which endodontic & periodontal therapies are most likely to succeed
  • Know when a tooth is endodontically or periodontally likely to fail
  • Know which surgical remedies are most successful, and situations that have poor prognoses
  • Best ways to preserve ridge shape & volume
  • How to help increase the success of implant placement

To Register for this meeting please complete this form & send, with cheque payable to SEWIPG, to: Colin McCubbin, 100 Cathedral Road, Cardiff CF11 9LP

RSVP by the 16th September, as numbers will be limited in what will be a popular event

£75 for SEWIPG/BDA  member

£175 for SEWIPG/BDA non-member

An Audience with David Thomas, Chief Dental Officer for Wales

Posted on 13-Jul-2011

Tuesday 13th September, in the Copthorne Hotel, Culverhouse Cross, W. Cardiff

Registration & Buffet 6pm for a 7pm start

It is our belief that we should know the likely strategy for future   monitoring of provision of private dental care in Wales.

We need to know the challenges & opportunities that may arise in the future, & be able to plan for these changes.

We also need to voice our concerns and make clear the issues most dentists are struggling with, such as HTM 01-05 & HIW monitoring

Please note that David will not be covering purely NHS issues such as UDA values, etc

This is an opportunity to meet with David & discuss these issues.

This is exclusive & free to SEWIPG members.

If you wish to attend please return through the attached document shown below:
